kidney bean mushroom burger


4 burgers


  • 140 grams green peas
  • 140 grams tomato puree
  • 255 grams kidney beans
  • 1,5 cups breadcrumbs
  • pinch of salt
  • half a thee spoon chili flakes
  • 2 thee spoons of mixed dried herbs (coriander, bell paper,  ginger, turmeric, cumin, onion, foil and cardamom)
  • 3 spring unions
  • 10 large mushrooms
  • vegan bun
  • pickles
  •  ketchup
  • vegan mayo
  • lettuce
  • 1 union


  • chop up the spring union, mushrooms and union
  • put 3/4 of the kidney beans, the green peas and the spring union in your food processor and blend until almost smooth
  • put the mushrooms, the rest of the kidney beans, the herbs and the breadcrumbs in a bowl
  • put your bean mixture in with your mushrooms and mix everything together
  • with your hand you make 4 burgers by rolling 4 even balls and making those flat one by one until the desired thickness
  • bake your burgers and union in a frying pan on medium heat 3 minutes each side
  • while your burgers are baking cut up your lettuce and pickles and cut your bun in half
  •  you’re gonna layer ketchup, pickles, unions, burger, lettuce, mayo and then your upper bun
  • enjoy!
